On her ninth birthday, Kami Lyle bought her first trumpet at Schmidtt’s Music Store in Minneapolis, Minnesota, less than a mile from the hospital where she was born. After high school, she enrolled at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she studied jazz composition and performance. After graduation, Kami moved to Nashville and signed a recording contract with MCA Records. Kami’s first album, Blue Cinderella, produced by Hugh Padgham (Sting, Melissa Etheridge, Phil Collins) put her on VH1 with the single Polka Dots. She recently moved house to Cape Cod, where she released her second album, Ten Songs, and is currently recording her third.
The Hyannis Sound is a 10-member, all-male, summer-only a cappella outfit based here on Cape Cod. The Sound's extensive repertoire of songs spans a century of popular music, including R&B, rock and jazz. They constantly push to expand the diversity and complexity of their music and bring to their audience an exciting, unique live show. To date, the Sound has recorded 15 albums. The Hyannis Sound has performed the National Anthem at Fenway Park as well as various Cape Cod League games, and have been featured in publications including The Boston Globe and Cape Cod Magazine.
The Stage Door Canteen is no ordinary swing band. This 14-piece Big Band has, for more than a decade, brought high style, elegance, and unbridled energy to special events all over the Northeast and beyond. The band swings the classic hits of the Big Band era but also gets the dance floor grooving with Motown, Van Morrison, the Beatles and much more. Stage Door Canteen is led by alto saxophonist Roger Gamache, a graduate of Berklee College of Music. Featured vocalists include Deanna Dustin Kidd, a Berkelee faculty member and Mike Connors, a versatile vocalist who sings Frank Sinatra and AC/DC's Angus Young with equal panache.
