Pops by the Sea Parking and Accessibility Options
July 29, 2009
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod welcomes residents and guests to the 24th Annual TD Banknorth Pops by the Sea concert on Sunday, August 2 on the Hyannis Village Green. Pops by the Sea features the only Cape Cod appearance of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, conductor Keith Lockhart, and special guest conductor Angie Dickinson. Parking is on a first come, first-served basis, and nearby parking lots will fill up quickly, so all guests are urged to carpool and to arrive early for the concert.
All parking rules and regulations of the Town of Barnstable will be in full force and effect throughout the weekend of the concert. Concert attendees are asked to please respect the merchants and residents of the neighborhood surrounding the Hyannis Village Green, and to park their vehicles only where permitted.
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, in conjunction with the Town of Barnstable, has designated additional parking spaces for handicapped guests attending the TD Banknorth Pops by the Sea. A special parking lot on Ocean Street has been designated for this use, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals with government-issued handicap placards.
Guests may also be dropped off, with a friend or family member to attend them, at designated locations on Ocean Street, Main Street, and South Street. Guests requiring an escort must be accompanied, so please plan accordingly.
As a reminder, General Admission lawn seating and festival seats are first-come, first served, and space is limited. Tickets are still available and may be purchased at local TD Banknorth branches, Christmas Tree Shops, Puritan Clothing in Hyannis, the Cape Cod Mall information desk, and the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce. Advance ticket sales are strongly encouraged, as this event regularly sells out in advance.
General Admission Lawn Tickets are $15 for adults, $20 on the day of the show, if available. Lawn tickets for children ages 6-12 are $5, and one child under the age of five is admitted free with each paid adult General Admission Lawn Ticket. Festival Seat tickets cost $50 and are available limited quantities by visiting the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod's online store.
