Funding Distributed to Local Cultural Organizations and ArtistsThe Board of Directors of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is pleased to announce the recipients of their 2009 Fall Grant Awards. Twenty local cultural organizations will receive a total of $25,065 in grants at a special reception from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, November 12 at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. Members of the public are welcome to attend the awards ceremony, but all guests must RSVP to the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod before November 6.
These desperately-needed funds are distributed by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod to arts organizations and individual artists twice each year, helping to maintain the regions reputation as a world-class cultural destination, said Margaret Van Sciver, Board President of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. This grant program is the only one of its kind in the region focused entirely on supporting the arts and culture of Cape Cod. We are proud to provide essential support to Cape Cods creative economy by supporting these worthy projects.
Arts Foundation of Cape Cod grants are awarded to support projects that are collaborative and educational; that help create a strong, stable, and diverse cultural community on Cape Cod; and that contribute to the quality of life and economic vitality of the region.
