• The Thornton W. Burgess Society welcomes the coming spring season with a delightful Snowdrop Tea on a March afternoon to be determined as Mother Nature allows. Eugenie and Jonathan Shaw will open their historic home and gardens in Sandwich Village, where visitors will enjoy tea served with homemade deserts and tour the gardens containing one of the largest collections of snowdrops on the East Coast. • The annual Giant Yard Sale of the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth (HSOY) will be held on March 20, 9 am - 3 pm, at the Yarmouth Senior Center, Forest Road, South Yarmouth. • Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod will be hosting its 1st Annual Mailbox Silent Auction on May 28, 5 - 8pm, at the Chequessett Club, Wellfleet and is looking for people interested in participating on the planning committee or sharing their artwork on a mailbox, The evening will feature a variety of uniquely designed mailboxes to bid upon. All proceeds from the event will be used to support Habitat's work and mission to work in partnership with families in need to build homes for the community.
