Calling all Educators - Reserve Your Field Trip Now

First Things First logoLooking for a free, fun, enriching, and unique art experience for your students this year? Join us for FIRST THINGS FIRST this January at the Cotuit Center for the Arts!

FIRST THINGS FIRST will feature the works of more than fifty well-known Cape Cod artists, as they explore what is most important to them. This unique, free exhibit will introduce kids to the work of established artists from Cape Cod, while encouraging their own creativity through engaging educational activities during their visit.

Keeping younger arts patrons in mind, artwork will be displayed at a height of 4 feet throughout the exhibit - right at children's eye level - and a docent will be assigned to each group that schedules a visit.

FIRST THINGS FIRST will be on display January 9 - February 6, 2010 at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Based on advanced bookings for school visits and the popularity of previously presented exhibits, ROYGBIV, Self Portrait Cape Cod and When We Were Younger, we anticipate high demand again in 2010. School visits will be welcomed throughout the month-long exhibit, but availability is limited and tends to fill up quickly, so please reserve your date as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

For more information about the exhibit, or to schedule your group trip, please email cmacort@artsfoundation.org, call 508-362-0066 ext. 13 or visit www.artsfoundation.org/first-things-first. Note: All scheduling of student group visits and any additional information will be provided by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod; kindly do not contact the Cotuit Center for the Arts for information about the exhibit.
