The Harwich Cultural Council, a local branch of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, distributes state funds to support local projects in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences. Each year, HCC has awarded more than twenty grants to local artists, theaters, schools and health and human service providers to fund a broad variety of cultural, educational and civic programs. Sturgis Library is a public library and research archive specializing in Cape Cod history, genealogy, and the maritime trades. The original building was the meetinghouse of Rev. John Lothrop, a founder of Barnstable, and the structure is the oldest building housing a public library in the United States. Wellfleet Preservation Hall is the newest year-round venue on the lower Cape. Located in the heart of the scenic village of Wellfleet, the Hall provides a unique space for cultural, educational, social and creative arts events for residents and visitors alike. WCAI 90.1, 91.1, and 94.3 is The Cape and Islands NPR Station, a listener-supported public radio station serving Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and the Southcoast. Founded by local residents, the station is a service of WGBH Radio. WCAI provides award-winning international, national, and local news and information. The station celebrates the uniqueness of the communities it serves and connects with through exploration of common issues.

Founded in 1982, WOMR (OuterMostRadio) is a non-profit, non-commercial community radio station, volunteer-driven and listener supported, based in Provincetown, that provides the entire Cape with local-origination programming in music and spoken word 20 hours a day, 365 days a year.  From bluegrass to opera, folk, jazz, oldies, blues, rock, reggae, Celtic... every kind of music.
