ArtsFalmouth: to provide continuing support for the Arts Alive! Festival, an annual celebration of the arts on Main Street in Falmouth, raising awareness of the local artist and business communities on the Upper Cape. $750
Cape Cod Center for the Arts: to support the expansion of Theater for Children, a collaboration with the Cape Cod Playhouse for a series of educational pre- and post-show interactive sessions for young people. $1,250
Cape Cod Children’s Museum: to provide funding for Fiber Arts Fun, part of Art Without Boundaries, a weekday drop-in program for pre-school children, in addition to weekend workshops for school-age children. $1,000
Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School: to support the publication of Nature’s Sketchbook – Art Mirrors Nature, a field guide and nature mosaic created by middle school students for the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. $750
Cape Cod Maritime Museum: to help present a design competition leading to the creation of a large-scale mural to be painted on the harbor-facing side of the maritime museum, with award money to be donated to the winning student’s sponsoring art department. $750
Dennis Public Library: to fund the presentation of a free mime and storytelling program for children that will promote themes of reading and literacy to school-age children in the mid-Cape area. $300
Eventide Arts: To sustain New Playwrights, New Plays, which supports the efforts of Cape Cod playwrights in the creation of new works through a series of workshops and readings, culminating in staged readings of the winning plays. $1,100
Falmouth Artists Guild: to support the Art-Share project, a community art program, and the Saori Weaving Initiative, which will engage artists and students in the collaborative use of a new, portable Saori loom. $1,500
Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPs): to support the expansion of an art mentoring program for at-risk students at Lawrence Junior High in Falmouth in collaboration with the Falmouth Artists Guild. $1,750
Terry Gips: to help fund The Art of Water, a multi-media exhibit to be mounted at the Wellfleet Public Library in December 2009, presenting the work of local artists as they interpret the theme of water in our lives. $500
Harwich Junior Theatre: to provide scholarship assistance to Cape Cod children with limited financial resources who wish to participate in the theater’s year-round program of educational classes, workshops, and outreach programs. $2,000
Meetinghouse Chamber Music Festival: to provide support for The Meetinghouse Festival 2009, a series of five varied chamber music programs that are presented each year in locations across Cape Cod in collaboration with the Chatham Chorale. $1,000
Payomet Performing Arts Festival: to help provide Truro children with special drama classes and interactive performances related to the celebration of the tercentennial anniversary of the founding of the Town of Truro. $1,500
Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival: to support the production of Provincetown Prepares for War, a hybrid presentation combining an historical tour and a performance of Williams’ play The Case of the Crushed Petunias as part of a week-long festival. $2,000
Sandwich Town Band: to help provide support to the band’s 28th season of presenting free weekly concerts at the bandstand behind the Henry T. Wing School in Sandwich. $1,000
Odin Smith: to help present the intergenerational project Pairing Youth and Experience, which connects teenage students with older artist mentors in a weekly open studio setting at Harwich High School. $1,500
Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill: to support the production of the 5th Annual Pro-vincetown Dance Festival, presenting a variety of international dance performances in a unique sampling of forms, styles, and traditions. $1,000
Truro Historical Society: to help the Society expand its programming of arts appreciation activities for local and visiting children, integrating their creative explorations with works from the permanent collection. $1,000
Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater: to provide support to Inside WHAT 4 Kids, a performance-centered school enrichment program for Lower Cape children in the 2nd and 3rd grades at Wellfleet and Orleans Elementary Schools. $2,000
Woods Hole Film Festival: to help support the Filmmakers-in-Residence portion of the 18th Annual Woods Hole Film Festival which brings established and emerging filmmakers to a Cape Cod audience each summer. $1,500
Woods Hole Historical Collection and Museum: to provide support to a multi-media recording of the demolition and reconstruction of the Eel Pond Bridge in Woods Hole, incorporating historical materials, audio vignettes of Woods Hole oral histories, and engineering details of the old and new bridges. $750
