AFCC Elects New Officers for 2006-2007

Centerville, MA, March 20, 2006 - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is pleased to announce the election of new officers for 2006–2007.

Margaret Van Sciver of Marstons Mills has been re-elected as Board President. Maggie co-founded Whitebriar Financial Corporation, a commercial lender concentrating primarily in receivables finance, after working for ten years as an investment and commercial banker in New York and New Jersey. Maggie also chairs the annual TD Banknorth Pops by the Sea concert, featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. In addition to her AFCC duties, Maggie serves on the boards of the Cape Cod Conservatory, the Cape Cod Community College Foundation, the Cape Symphony Orchestra, the Cape Cod Voice, and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, where she chairs the Arts and Culture Committee.

Dan Wolf of Harwich, President and CEO of Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines, has been re-elected Board Vice President. Dan founded Cape Air, which has become the largest independent regional airline in the United States. Dan serves on the boards of the Cape Cod Economic Development Council, the Housing Assistance Corporation, the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, the Workforce Investment Board, and chairs the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. He is also associate publisher and a board member of the Cape Cod Voice.

Janet Feeney of Plymouth, a CPA and Partner with DePaola, Begg & Associates, has been re-elected board treasurer. She also serves on the AFCC Executive and Finance committees. Janet is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has served as past president of the Hyannis Chamber of Commerce.

Mary Cotoia of Yarmouth, the Regional President for Citizens Bank on the Cape and islands, has been re-elected board clerk. Mary oversees regional commercial lending activities for the bank in Southeastern Massachusetts. Mary also serves on the boards of the Cape and Islands United Way, the Cape Cod Foundation, and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.

Larry Squire of Orleans, the Regional co-President for Cape Cod of TD Banknorth, has been elected to the executive committee, and will continue to serve on the Pops by the Sea Steering Committee. TD Banknorth is the sustaining sponsor of AFCC and the title sponsor of the TD Banknorth 2006 Pops by the Sea concert. Larry started his banking career at the former CCBT Financial Companies 34 years ago as a teller and now oversees the 25 branch operations for the Cape Cod market, providing overall management to the retail business line out of the Hyannis office. He currently serves as vice chairman of the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation and as an advisory board member of Cape Cod Healthcare.

The following board members were also re-elected to the AFCC executive committee: Mary LeClair, County Commissioner; Anne-Marie Litchfield, Esq., Partner with Litchfield & Litchfield, P.C.; John OBrien, of OBrien and Associates; Richard Rand, immediate past AFCC President; William Wendell, of Wendell Marketing, LLC; and David Willard, of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank.
