About Me

The sensual experience of making art provides counterbalance for the more practical and utilitarian aspects of my life. Whether in the form of music, writing, movement or visual arts; involvement in the creative process is essential to my happiness. I feel privileged for the opportunity to share and engage in this experience with others.

I’m motivated by the people around me, past or present – whether it’s by the lack of things in life that they have failed to accomplish, or those that they have. Like many other people, I know some in each category. I’m determined not to share the regrets of those who are unable to apply the tools of their trade to perform their craft; and inspired by those who seem to have endless energy to create and produce – not just creatively – but whatever it is that inspires them and makes them happy.

My figurative work captures the nuance and sensitivity of the human form through sweeping strokes and broad washes to evoke mood and feeling.  I want my work to breathe with life and cast a fresh perspective on a timeless art form.
