Our Mission

The Academy of Performing Arts, a nonprofit corporation, was incorporated in 1975. Our mission is to enrich the life of the Cape Cod community through the performing arts. This mission is accomplished through The Academy Playhouse, Academy School of Performing Arts and Outreach Programs.

Our Services and Programs

The Academy Playhouse is proud to offer 12 major productions, concerts, a children’s matinee series and new works on a year round basis, showcasing local and guest artists. The Academy School offers summer workshops in musical theater, drama and dance during July and August, as well as, year round class and private instruction in music, drama, and dance. Many well known theatrical directors, music directors, design artists and costumers are hired by the Academy. The Academy Theater also has a gallery which features works of art by local artists.

Fees Charged

For information and/or tickets contact the Box Office at 508-255-1963. The Box Office is open from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM daily in season; open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the shoulder season. We do offer group rates, please call for more information.

Passport to the Arts accepted; call for restrictions, some black out dates apply
