Naomi Bradford
About Me
With a degree in Fine Arts and Textile Design and a background in screen printing processes, I have taught Studio Art at UMass/Amherst, Seattle Art Museum, and Cape Cod Museum of Art. My exhibits include Handmade Book Arts/Fiber; Conceptual Footwear; Spirit Riders at Shillito Lofts; Painted Ponies at City Cellars and Europa Cafe, Momo’s, and River Street Studio & Gallery.
I moved away from the intensive world of textiles. Now I have come full circle – focusing again on my painting – Painted Ponies. I layer color upon color, using the image of the horse as it is my belief that we are part horse/part human – a strong connection between life and spirit … a universal theme of liveliness, strength, beauty, and loyalty.
