About Me

Rick has a passion for fishing which inspired him to practice the art of gyotaku. Gyotaku is a traditional form of Japanese printing used by fisherman to record their catches. The art form captures the exact features and characteristics of the actual fish or marine life by painting the object and creating a rubbing. The original rubbings are created with inks and/or acrylics on several different types of cloth or paper. Most of his original prints were personally caught or found from the waters of Cape Cod, MA
