Our Mission
The Cape Cod Pilgrim Memorial Association is a private non-profit, educational organization that shall maintain the Pilgrim Memorial Monument, buildings and land to accommodate its libraries and collections. Its mission also commemorates the history of the Mayflower Pilgrims, culminating with their arrival and stay in Provincetown Harbor and the signing of the Mayflower Compact. The Association also collects, preserves, interprets, researches, exhibits and publishes archival historical materials commemorating important events of Provincetown history.
Our History
The association was formed in 1892, and is the oldest non-profit on the Cape….Monument was built between 1907 and 1910, and both Presidents Teddy Roosevelt and William Howard Taft were present for festivities related to its construction. Provincetown Museum was built in 1961.
Our Services and Programs
The Pilgrim Monument commemorates the Pilgrims’ first landing in America. Visitors can easily walk to the top using a unique series of steps and ramps around the interior of the building. The views from the top are breathtaking, and on clear days you can see both Plymouth and Boston.
The Provincetown Museum features the history of Provincetown and the Outer Cape. Here you will see exhibits on the Pilgrims and the Mayflower, Provincetown’s theater history including Eugene O’Neill and the Provincetown Players, artifact collections brought here from distant lands by sea captains, and much more.
Fees Charged
$7.00 – Adult Admission
$5.00 – Senior (62 and older)
$5.00 – Students (15 and older with student ID)
$3.00 – Child Admission (4-14)
Children 3 and under are free.

Open Daily April 1-October 31. 9am-5pm
Extended hours June 1-September 15 – 9am-7pm
November open Thursday-Monday-10am-5pm
