About Me

Barbara Hageman trained in classical painting and drawing techniques at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, in Connecticut. LAFA is an NASAD, NEASC-accredited, classical art college(www.lymeacademy.edu).

Barbara regularly exhibits her work at the Left Bank Gallery in Essex, CT as well as at “Birdsey-On-The Cape,” in Osterville, MA.

A resident of Cape Cod, Barbara paints regional scenes of the New England landscape with particular focus on Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

From the beginning, she learned the “en plein air” tradition of the American Impressionists who summered in Lyme at the Florence Griswold residence-now-museum. Barbara holds both Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Connecticut.

Her work is often exhibited at the historic Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme, Connecticut . In addition, Barbara’s work has been exhibited at The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, MA.
