About Me

I began painting as a teenager, and sold my first work at age 16. It was a painting of a ghost town in old Nevada. Alot has changed since then. I have been selling professionally for 30 years now. I attended art school at the Art Students League in NY after High School, and also studied under several individual instructors on both the east and west coast. I have supplemented my fine art education with classes in graphic arts and illustration. I have also furthered my education with the Mass Audubon Society through a year long program called the Birders Certificate Program. Knowing my subjects well is important to me, and the knowledge I have gained about birds will add to the diversity of subject matter and accuracy of the portrayals. I carry binoculars with me everywhere, and have recently gone birding on South Monomy, Trustom Pond in Rhode Island, as well as all over Nantucket. The inspiration I received from my experiences birding will be portrayed in my upcoming show at Trees Place, July 16 -21, 2011. Please come!
