About Me

Dan Springer paints contemporary, luminous, atmospheric landscapes evoking an emotional sense of place. He captures moments when light creates a contemplative mood compelling the viewer to linger. Springer is a painter who lives and works on Cape Cod. He has had three solo exhibits of his work at the Brewster Ladies Library, in 2006, 2007 and 2009. He also exhibits regularly in member shows at PAAM. Trained at Parsons School of Design in NYC, he currently chairs the Fine & Performing Arts Department at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, sits on the Advisory Board of the Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators Association and teaches at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. In addition to his BFA from Parsons, Springer attended Syracuse University studying performance and theater design, and received his Masters in English from Northeastern University. He has presented workshops at three National Art Education Association conferences in Boston, Chicago and NYC.
