Funding Available for Arts Projects on Cape Cod and the Islands

May 1, 2026 (Cape Cod, MA) – The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is encouraging artists and organizations to apply for funding to support arts-related projects on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

Grants will support projects that are innovative; that increase access to the arts; that enhance community engagement; that address important community issues; and that use the arts as a catalyst for improving individual and community well-being.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 29th at 11:59 pm. The Arts Foundation anticipates announcing awards in mid-July.

“As our longest running program, our annual grant giving allows the Arts Foundation to make a strategic investment in projects that utilize arts and culture to bring joy, connection, and meaning to Cape Cod and the Islands,” said Arts Foundation Executive Director Julie Wake. “Every year, we continue to be impressed by the depth and breadth of projects that improve quality of life, strengthen our economy, and enhance the vibrancy of our region through the arts.”

The Arts Foundation started awarding grants in 1989, two years after it was founded. The program has grown significantly under Wake’s tenure; when she first started at the Arts Foundation in 2015, it distributed $15,000 in grants. Last year, it distributed nearly $175,000 in grants to 53 recipients. This included $66,742 in funding this past January, and another $107,130 last June,

‍Since 2020, the Arts Foundation has invested over $830,000 in the creative sector. ‍‍ ‍

The Arts Foundation’s annual grant giving is made possible through support from William Raveis Real Estate, Donald C. McGraw Foundation, South Shore Playhouse Associates, Cape & Coast Bank, the Arts Foundation’s Patron Program, and the Arts Foundation’s Gala supporters.‍
