Next Round of Grants Opens on September 8th

September 1, 2026 (Cape Cod, MA) – The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod’s latest round of grants will open on Tuesday, September 8th, providing funding for creative projects across the region. Applications will be available by clicking the button below.

There are two separate applications — one for artists and another for organizations — available for those on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 6 at 11:59 PM. 

It will hold two virtual info sessions for interested applicants. The first will be on Thursday, October 1st at 10 AM (register here), and the second will be on Friday, October 23rd at 10 AM (register here).

The Arts Foundation is seeking to support creative projects that increase access to the arts for all; use the arts as a catalyst for positive change; address important issues at the local level and beyond; employ the arts in novel ways; foster cross-sector collaboration; enhance individual and community well-being; and strengthen the overall Cape economy. 

“Over the years, we have witnessed how organizations and individual artists are being creative in using the arts to improve our community in new, innovative ways,” said Arts Foundation Executive Director Julie Wake. “The funds we provide often build momentum for projects to get off the ground. In other cases, it allows us to bolster existing projects so they are able to make an even bigger difference across the region.”

Now in its 39th year, the Arts Foundation launched its grants program in 1989, making it the organization’s longest running program. 

In July, the Arts Foundation awarded $116,270 to support 32 projects on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. It represented the fifth straight year that it has distributed more than $100,000 to support arts and culture across the region. 

Since 2020, the regional arts nonprofit has invested over $946,000 in the creative sector. 

Awards for this round of funding are expected to be announced by the end of the year.
